Did you know that there are over 450 different species of wild bees in Michigan. Did you know that these wild bees pollenate gardens, flowers, tomatoes, pumpkins, berries, apples, peaches, cucumbers, just to name a few. How can we help these wild bees? We need to plant more wild flowers and stop cutting your dandelions in the Spring. This is a vital pollinator flower that Honey Bees and Wild Bees need for raising their brood. We need to make our flower gardens more diverse to the types of flowers we plant in them. These flowers need to be in all different sizes and types that will bloom throughout spring to late fall. Most of ALL, we need to stop using pesticides without knowing what you are killing and plant plants that will bring in predators to keep those unwanted pests away. If you would like more information give me a call or if you would like me to come to your area and discuss Pollination to your group.
